Implementation and Sustainability Workshops

Often a failure to entrench and sustain Signs of Safety within our daily operations and means of ‘doing business’ is confused with a failure of Signs of Safety; this is incorrect thinking. Signs of Safety will not be successfully embedded or sustained if the organisation fails to grasp the importance of a fundamental and crucial alignment of organisational structures and paradigms.

Structural theorists concluded that organisations follow specific structural laws because they must and have no choice. They determined that changes that do not consider these laws are likely to fail, no matter how sincere or how much money is invested. In addition, paradigms are the source of our attitudes and behaviours and once entrenched within organisations; we cannot act with integrity outside of them. Trying to change outward attitudes and behaviours do little in the long run if we fail to identify, deconstruct, and re-design the basic paradigms from which those attitudes and behaviours flow.
